My name is Josie Palmiste, co-founder of Tastingood restaurant, an establishment I opened in Longueuil in July 2021. Our restaurant specializes in Caribbean cuisine, particularly Bokits, Agoulous, cod fritters, and hot dishes emblematic of Guadeloupe, Martinique and Guyana.
Creating a Caribbean restaurant in Quebec was an exciting but also challenging adventure. I had to deal with high real estate costs, labor constraints, and managing the supply of exotic ingredients while ensuring product quality and freshness.
The COVID-19 crisis, which occurred shortly after our opening, intensified the need for flexibility. We had to quickly adapt our offering with an online ordering and delivery service.
